President's Message
I am honored to have been appointed President and Representative Director of Amitec Co., Ltd. Since our founding in 1949, Amitec has built a long history, and I strongly feel the weight of responsibility entrusted to me. At the same time, I am filled with the determination to make our company even better. Building on the technical expertise and networks cultivated by generations of employees, we aim to become a “100-year company.”
One of our greatest strengths lies in our design capabilities: we listen carefully to our customers’ needs, create products from drawings, and assemble them in-house. Furthermore, when issues arise during use or when new requests emerge, we have the advantage of being able to respond directly with repairs or improvements ourselves.
Amitec may not be widely recognized by the general public, but our products are trusted and used by leading companies both in Japan and overseas. To honor this trust, we will continue striving to deliver high-quality products that bring satisfaction to our customers.
Before joining Amitec, I worked for 32 years in the banking industry, serving as branch manager for 12 years across five branches. I believe this experience helps me in two important aspects of corporate management: assisting customers in solving their challenges, and leading with a focus on employee well-being. As someone who joined Amitec from outside the company, I also take pride in being able to recognize the diversity and high level of skill that each of our employees possesses.
For our customers, I want them to feel, “I’m glad I purchased from Amitec.” For our employees, I want them to feel, “I’m glad I work at Amitec.” With this as my guiding principle, I will dedicate myself to stable management and to leading the company with commitment and care.
Currently, the woodworking machinery industry in which our products are widely used is facing a shrinking market due to declining housing starts. Looking ahead, we hope that our products can also be applied to new fields—such as high-performance materials like semiconductors—enabling our customers to pioneer new markets.
Our main products are the wide-belt sander, representing our expertise in “grinding and polishing,” and the running saw, representing our expertise in “cutting.” By leveraging these technologies, we welcome customers to consult us with requests such as, “We need a new type of product” or “We are facing this specific challenge.” We believe we can provide valuable proposals that expand the possibilities of your business. Through Amitec, we are committed to contributing to society and to further advancing Japan’s manufacturing industry.
President
